Our Boat, SETler1, recently embarked on an inspiring journey around Bali, showcasing the potential of sustainable maritime travel. The five-day hourney spanned from Sanur to Padangbai, Amed, Lovina, and Mejangang, Northwest Bali. The trip was a serene way to experience Bali's stunning coastline while embracing eco-friendly innovation.
Equipped with nine solar panels and a 20kWh battery, SETler1 can sail for up to 10 hours non-stop using clean, quiet energy. At the heart of its operation is a Torqueedo Cruise 12kW electric engine, equivalent to the power of a 25HP petrol engine. As the leading Gernan brand in electric marine energies, Torqueedo ensures unmatched quality and efficiency. Additionally, for safety and reliability, a 25HP petrol outboard serves as a backup.
The entire journey used primarily solar power, reducing noise pollution and allowing passengers to experience nature without disturbing dolphins, fish, or other marine life. The powerful 12kW electric motor allowed the boat to reach speeds of up to 10 knots, carrying up to 10 passengers with ease.
Local communities, drivers, and environmental enthusiasts showed great interest in SETler1, appreciating its ability to operate without polluting Bali's pristine waters or emitting harmful fumes. SETler1 stands as a model for how boats can respect nature, offering a journey that harmonizes with the environment instead of disrupting it.
